With a bustling new year well underway, let’s take a moment to catch our breath. How are those requisite resolutions going so far? If you’re like most of us, this is the time of year when we all could use a burst of encouragement to keep pushing toward those goals, whether for a more active and healthy lifestyle, more balance on the work/life front, or, perhaps, just a more joyful and less-stressed year.
Celebrated Living’s spring “Sporting Life” issue — filled with all things sports, fitness, health, and wellness related — offers a timely measure of inspiration, sure to spur you on to greatness. Few folks are more inspiring than Lance Armstrong, our awesome cover celebrity. He truly is a man on a mission, living strong with his impressive and powerful Lance Armstrong Foundation. Lance has penned a couple of positive, page-turner books with Sally Jenkins: It’s Not About the Bike and Every Second Counts. Our esteemed president and group publisher Rick Morrison was so inspired by these books that he began some serious cycling himself, and also now serves as board of directors president for his own personal cause, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
In keeping with the sporting theme, elsewhere in this issue you’ll find some fairways that are off the beaten path a bit, but well worth adding to your golfing wish list. 20/20 Sports explores 20 great places around the globe for active adventures that will have you packing for your next voyage. The Sports Report features the latest and greatest gear, gadgets, and fashion for eight favorite sports. And an article on healthy and luxurious residential developments will tempt you to tap into the trend of year-round spa-like living.
Good health can’t be taken for granted, and we designed this issue to be especially good for you. We hope you find it both inspiring and motivating.
